Westmount acquired Forest Oaks Apartments, a strong Class B garden style apartment community in August 2016. The property consists of 116 one-bedroom and 48 two-bedroom units. It is strategically located in northwest Arlington at the center of the DFW Metroplex, minutes away from major employers such as DFW Airport, Lockheed Martin, GM and Bell Helicopter-Textron, Inc.

Upon acquisition, Westmount rebranded the property as “Westmount at Forest Oaks” in conjunction with significant interior and exterior improvements. Interior upgrades include new lighting and plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, appliances, brushed nickel accents and faux wood flooring. The exterior renovations consist of landscaping, updating common areas and amenities, minor wood/stucco repair, parking lot repairs and upgrading the leasing office. Westmount plans to revamp the pool furniture, as well as the addition of an outdoor kitchen.

This property provided Westmount with an “off-market” acquisition opportunity with a strong potential for successful repositioning.
