WESTMOUNT INSIDER – 2025 Intern Class – Future Leaders in Commercial Real Estate

At Westmount Realty Capital, we believe that investing in people is just as important as investing in properties. For more than 40 years, we’ve built a legacy in commercial real estate by fostering growth through mentorship, leadership opportunities, and hands-on experience. The Westmount Intern program is a reflection of that commitment.

This year, we welcomed five talented individuals to our teams in asset management, acquisitions, marketing, and accounting. Their hard work has contributed to daily operations and reflects the values that define Westmount: collaboration, growth, and a dedication to excellence.

We are proud to have played a role in each intern’s journey and look forward to seeing how they shape the future of commercial real estate.

Nicole Plotner – Marketing Intern

  • School: Southern Methodist University
  • Focus: Brand strategy, content creation, and resident experience
  • Background: A recent graduate of SMU, Nicole joined with prior marketing experience at Huffines Communities, where she supported marketing efforts for large-scale residential developments. Her early exposure to real estate marketing sparked a strong interest in how brand strategy influences the resident experience. At Westmount, Nicole led marketing initiatives tied to our 40th anniversary campaign, refreshed collateral across investor, industrial, and multifamily divisions, and led monthly marketing meetings with property management teams.
  • Favorite project: Playing a key role in Westmount’s 40th anniversary campaign—writing blog articles, producing executive spotlights, and leading marketing strategy across the multifamily portfolio.

Sean Wilson – Multifamily Asset Management Intern

  • School: Southern Methodist University
  • Focus: Operational analysis and portfolio performance
  • Background: With both undergraduate and graduate experience at SMU, Sean brought a strong foundation in finance and strategic thinking to the team. This summer, he evaluated property performance, supported budget planning, and analyzed operational KPIs and rent trends across Westmount’s multifamily portfolio.
  • Favorite Experience: A team outing to Andretti that reflected Westmount’s culture of connection and fun.

Adrian De Leon – Multifamily Acquisitions Intern

  • School: Southern Methodist University
  • Focus: Deal sourcing, underwriting, and team learning
  • Background: Adrian jumped into the acquisitions pipeline from day one, underwriting multifamily opportunities and analyzing market comps. He also actively participated in Westmount’s cross-functional Lunch & Learn series, where interns gained firsthand insights from company leaders across various departments.
  • Favorite Experience: Lunch & Learns because of the opportunity to learn from leadership at Westmount

Alejandro Becerra – Property Accounting Intern

  • School: The University of Texas at Dallas
  • Focus: Property-level financials, reporting, and real estate systems
  • Background: Alejandro put his accounting skills to work on real-world commercial real estate projects. He helped reconcile financial statements, track performance, and assist with property-level reporting, especially for Westmount’s New Market asset.
  • Favorite Project: Working hands-on with the New Market property to understand the full cycle of property accounting.

Noah Brown – Marketing Intern

  • School: University of Kansas
  • Focus: Digital marketing and cross-functional collaboration
  • Background: A junior at the University of Kansas and an active member of KU’s Real Estate Club, Noah quickly immersed himself in the fast-paced world of CRE marketing. He supported efforts to audit Westmount’s digital footprint, created social media and website content, and helped ensure brand consistency across channels. Noah also co-led the final intern project, delivering a strategic market trends presentation to company leadership.
  • Favorite project: Collaborating with fellow interns on the final intern investment strategy project.
