With formal closings on new home purchases under way, SoCo Urban Loft Condominiums is offering and incentive program for new home buyers. Any loft purchaser who signs a contract by July 31 will be entitled to choose from a variety of incentive features. SoCo Urban Loft Condominiums is located in the old Santa Fe Railroad Terminal in downtown Dallas. Condominium loft homes are priced from the mid-$100s. New-home buyers who purchase by July 31 may choose one of three incentive items being offered, including a brand-name front-loading washer and dryer, a 42-inch HD-ready plasma TV and a precision-crafted custom closet, designed and built to the homeowners specifications.

“This incentive program is another in a series of features we have created to make the home-buying experience as easy and rewarding as possible’” says Steve Kanoff, a partner in Westmount Realty Capital, developers of SoCo Urban Loft Condominiums. “We are continuing to offer new homeowners a zero-down mortgage program, as well as their choice of two specially priced upgrade packages, the Platinum and Gold. SoCo is developing into a close-knit residential community.”

SoCo homeowners also receive the financial benefits of historic tax abatements merited as a result of the building’s storied past. It was built in 1924 as the Santa Fe Railroad Terminal, and has had a “colorful” history, Mr. Kanoff says. Many of the building’s industrial style finishes, reminiscent of the 1920’s, have been kept in tact.

“Home buyer acceptance has exceeded our expectations,” Mr. Kanoff says. “It’s obvious that a new type of community is developing at SoCo, and that the inherent value of the investment is rather easy to recognize.”

SoCo lofts offer 831 to more than 1,400 square feet of living space. They have been renovated and feature industrial-style finishes reminiscent of the early 1900’s, large original steel window frames and Italian kitchens with stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops.

The SoCo community is at the center of Dallas’ downtown re-emergence, Several recent events have increased home buyer activity at the community. One is the recent announcement of a new 20,000-square-foot gourmet grocery store two blocks from the building.

A rooftop pool is a popular gathering spot. Other amenities include a stat-of-the-art fitness center with free weights and machines, a yoga studio and tanning booth, an on-site media room and self-storage units. Parking is in-building with controlled-access entry. Self-storage units also are available.

SoCo Urban Lofts is at 1122 Jackson St. at Griffin. The sales office and models are open from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Satuday. Visit www.socourbanlofts.com or call 214-747-7626.
