Photos, highlights from the 2019 CFO of the Year Awards event

On Thursday at the Fairmont Dallas, the Dallas Business Journal honored the top financial executives in North Texas for its 12th annual CFO of the Year Awards.

This year’s 14 honorees were selected from diverse industries such as technology, sports business, health care, food and hospitality, commercial real estate, manufacturing, transportation, finance and more. Three of the honorees selected were also given an Emerging Leader designation, which recognizes people who have been with their organizations less than two years.

This year’s honorees were asked to talk about alternate career paths, both and realistic and unrealistic. Here’s a summary of the honorees answers:

Brant Brown, CFO and COO at Westmount Realty Capital, joked about being a Calvin Klein underwear model. Then said he would be a high school guidance counselor to work with the young generation.
