DALLAS MORNING NEWS

The new owners of a prime North Dallas property are already eager to flip the dirt.
Westmount Realty Capital bought the 27 acres at the northeast corner of North Central Expressway and Forest Lane in late December. The property occupied by an automobile dealership and retail buildings is the former site of the Gemini Drive-In theater, which closed in 1984.
Now Dallas-based Westmount has hired real estate brokers Newt Walker and Jim Whitten, who is with CB Richard Ellis, to peddle the property for $48 million.
Mr. Walker said the tract is “the last remaining large development site along Central Expressway in Dallas” and is expected to attract a variety of potential buyers.
Before the December sale to Westmount, the property had been owned since the 1960s by Dallas’ Tri-State Theaters.
