David Striph Joins Westmount Realty Capital As Senior Managing Director Of Structured Finance

Commercial real estate finance leader David M. Striph has joined Westmount Realty Capital, LLC, as senior managing director of the firm’s real estate finance division, Westmount Structured Finance. Mr. Striph is known throughout the commercial real estate industry for his expertise in the underwriting and structuring of complex loans and investments.

“We feel very fortunate to welcome David to our ranks as we continue to build a nationwide presence in the world of real estate finance,” said Cliff Booth, Westmount president. “He is considered a heavyweight in the profession, having built a lending portfolio of nearly a billion dollars. His presence will definitely accelerate Westmount Structured Finance’s growth as a nationwide lender.”

Mr. Striph joins Westmount after a two-year association with Fortress Investment Group in Dallas and five years as vice president/regional manager of Freemont Investment and Loan in Dallas. From 1994-2001, he was president and chief investment officer of AMRESCO Capital Trust, responsible for all aspects of a $250 million publicly traded structured finance REIT.

“I have followed Westmount’s progress throughout the past decade, and I am very impressed at the company’s versatility and performance as a developer, property owner and marketer.” Mr. Striph said. “When I first learned that they were entering the realm of commercial real estate finance, I knew that they would be very successful.”

Mr. Striph is a graduate of Southern Illinois University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and is a licensed real estate broker in both Texas and California.

Westmount Structured Finance was launched in February of this year and has experienced a period of significant growth. “We are striving to build the most comprehensive real estate platform in the country and we believe that the formation of Westmount Structured Finance will allow us to expand our reach as a firm by providing financing for investors who are struggling to find creative solutions in the current capital markets,” Mr. Booth added.
