Global food and beverage company — The Kraft Heinz Co. (Nasdaq: KHC) — has signed a big industrial lease to open a new distribution hub in Garland’s Logistics Pointe Garland complex.
The Kraft Heinz Co., which is the fifth-largest food and beverage company in the world, has signed a lease for 260,959 square feet (including 90,000 square feet of cold storage) at the logistics park at 2600 McCree Road in Garland — making the largest tenant in the business park.
This year, the owner, Dallas-based Westmount Realty Capital, make significant upgrades to the property, which included increasing the building’s cold-storage capabilities, which made it a fierce competition for tenants, said Clifford Booth, president and CEO of Westmount.
