Westmount Realty Capital, LLC redeveloped the Santa Fe Terminal Urban Lofts from rental units into condominiums and renamed the property SoCo Urban Loft Condominiums. With many varied floor plans from which to choose, including some two-story penthouses with private roof decks, prices started in the $170s. Originally constructed in 1927, the property has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The term “SoCo” was coined by Westmount to signify the area “South of Commerce Street,” extending west to I-35, east to I-75/45 and to Commerce Street on the north. The southern boundary is undefined, as SoCo intends to be the gateway neighborhood leading downtown redevelopment toward the south.
